Tampa Bay Rays - Tropicana Field
The Tampa Bay Rays are an American professional baseball team based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Rays compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member of the American League (AL) East division. Since its inception, the team's home venue has been Tropicana Field which received an upgrade for the 2023 season. The Rays chose the B1k natural turf system from Shaw Sports Turf to upgrade their playing surface. To meet the Rays performance requirements, Shaw Sports Turf tuned a surface dialed in to the Rays specifications of playability. The new field excels in performance characteristics (ball roll and ball rebound) and is known for mirroring the aesthetics of natural grass to create a visually stunning field. The Rays are one of four MLB teams that have Shaw Sports Turf as their game field.
